Stefanie is a registered psychologist, dedicated to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive psychological care, supporting clients to rebuild a sense of safety, agency, and connection in their lives.
With a strong focus on trauma informed care, Stefanie supports individuals impacted by PTSD, complex trauma, and adverse life experiences. She is passionate about helping clients feel safe, understood, and empowered as they work through the effects of trauma and move towards meaningful, lasting change.
In addition to trauma presentations, Stefanie provides psychological support for depression, anxiety, stress and burnout, obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD), and emotional regulation difficulties. She has extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals and brings a neurodiversity-affirming lens to her work. Her clinical experience includes the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults.
Stefanie works predominantly with adults and young people aged 14 years and over and has experience supporting clients across the lifespan. Her therapeutic style is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based, ensuring therapy progresses at a pace that feels safe and appropriate for each individual—particularly for those with complex trauma histories.
With a strong commitment to cultural safety and inclusion, Stefanie brings a high level of cultural competence to her practice. She is bilingual in English and German and has lived in multiple parts of the world, enabling her to work effectively with clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Stefanie offers psychological services under Medicare, the NDIS, and workers’ compensation scheme. She is trained in a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), with the latter being her special focus. She is currently working towards full EMDR accreditation and is a member of the EMDR Association of Australia.
