ABOUT ME

Stefanie is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPI).

Stefanie has a high level of cultural competencies, having lived in many parts of the world. Stefanie takes a person-centered, holistic and trauma-informed approach to therapy, working with people’s strengths and tailoring therapy to the individual needs and circumstances of each client. Stefanie has experience working with a broad range of clients and presentations. For the past two years, she has worked with flood affected communities, offering trauma counselling and interventions to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD and complex trauma.

Stefanie is also experienced in working with NDIS participants and neurodiverse clients across the lifespan, supporting children and their families, adolescents, and adults. Stefanie strives to provide neuro-affirming support to her clients and is aware that her lived experience as a neurotypical psychologist requires ongoing learning and reflection.

In her therapeutic work, Stefanie draws from a variety of psychotherapy models, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Stefanie is also trained in EMDR, which is an evidence-based psychotherapy treatment to provide relief from emotional distress caused by traumatic memories.

Stefanie is also experienced in providing practical skill building in anger management, stress management and interpersonal effectiveness.

Stefanie provides services face-to face or via telehealth, based on what works best for you.
